SUDBURY CINÉFEST BUS TRIP

Known as Cinéfest, the annual event screens dozens of hot new Canadian and international films, gala presentations, parties and more. The QFA has worked with a local tour organizer to design a four day, fully escorted bus trip to this year's festival. The bus will depart from Kingston (with pickups along the 401) on Thursday, September 21, arriving in Sudbury in the afternoon. Plan on seeing your first film Thursday evening! - three nights accommodations at the Best Western Hotel in downtown Sudbury (walking distance to the films)
- breakfast included each morning
- a book of ten general admission tickets to the films
- ticket for one gala performance
- customize your own screening schedule, choosing from dozens of Canadian and international films
- all gratuities, federal and provincial taxes, and administrative costs included

WHAT'S PLAYING AROUND TOWN?
Reciprocal arrangements with Cinefest Picton and the Great Napanee Film Society mean that QFA members now enjoy an added perk with their annual memberships. VIDEO PIX
The QFA Programming Committee considers many excellent films for our regular lineup from September to June. Unfortunately, scheduling demands do not permit us to show them all. Lucky for us, many of these innovative, alternative Canadian and international films are now available on video. Executive Member Tom Murray has been working with Rogers Video each month to arrange for a handful of these films to be brought to Belleville as QFA Recommended Video Picks. Some of these we considered screening at the time of their release, but for one reason or another, could not. Some of the films were screened during past seasons and received so warmly we only wish we could show them again (and again)! And some are time-tested classics no cinephile should miss.
